Dark Mode in creavio
creavio supports full dark mode across the entire platform: dashboard, CRM, galleries, invoicing, website builder, and settings. Every page, every modal, every button.
Enabling Dark Mode
Manual Toggle
Click the theme toggle in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar. One click switches between light and dark. Your preference is saved and applies across all devices logged into your account.
System Preference Sync
Go to Settings > Appearance and select System. creavio will follow your operating system's dark mode setting. When your Mac or Windows machine switches to dark mode at sunset, creavio switches with it.
From the Command Palette
Press Cmd+K and type "dark mode" or "toggle theme" to switch instantly without navigating to settings.
What Dark Mode Affects
Dark mode changes the entire creavio interface:
- Dashboard: Dark background with light text and colored accent elements
- CRM: Client records, pipeline view, and contact cards
- Calendar: Booking calendar with high-contrast event indicators
- Invoice and contract editors: Dark editing environment
- Gallery management: Dark background makes image thumbnails pop
- Website builder: The editor uses dark mode, but your published website uses its own theme settings
What It Does Not Affect
Dark mode is for your admin experience. Client-facing elements use their own settings:
- Published website: Uses your website theme colors (you can build a dark website separately)
- Client galleries: Uses your Collection branding settings
- Emails: Email templates are rendered independently
- Invoices and contracts: Generated documents use standard professional formatting
Why Photographers Love Dark Mode
Photographers stare at screens for hours while editing. A bright white interface next to your Lightroom editing window causes eye strain and affects your color perception. creavio's dark mode creates a neutral, low-glare environment that complements your editing workspace.
If you edit in a dark room (most photographers do), dark mode is not a preference. It is a necessity.
Display Density
Under Settings > Appearance, you can also adjust display density:
- Comfortable: More spacing, larger elements. Good for touch screens and presentations.
- Compact: Tighter spacing, more information on screen. Good for power users on large monitors.
Your creavio experience should match your work environment. Dark mode, system sync, and display density give you the control to make it fit.
