Data Export & Backups

Your data belongs to you. creavio makes it straightforward to export everything — from client records to financial history — whenever you need it.

Requesting a Full Export

Go to Settings > Account > Data Export and click Request Export. creavio will compile your data and send a download link to your email. Depending on the size of your account, this can take a few minutes to a few hours.

Your export includes:

Client contacts and communication history
Invoices, contracts, and payment records
Gallery images and metadata
Calendar events and booking data
Email campaign history and templates
Social media post history and analytics snapshots

Export Formats

Data is exported as a ZIP archive containing:

CSV files for structured data (clients, invoices, bookings)
HTML files for email templates and campaigns
Original image files for galleries
JSON files for metadata and settings

Selective Export

Don't need everything? Use the checkboxes on the export page to select specific categories. For example, export only your client list and invoices if you're migrating your CRM.

GDPR Data Portability

Under GDPR Article 20, you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format. creavio's export feature fully complies with this requirement. Exports are available in standard formats that can be imported into other platforms.

Automatic Backups

creavio automatically backs up your account data daily. While you don't need to manage these backups yourself, they ensure that even in the event of an issue, your data can be restored. If you ever need a restore, contact support.
