Webhook Integrations

Webhook Integrations

Webhooks let creavio send real-time notifications to external tools whenever specific events happen in your account. Instead of manually checking for new bookings or payments, webhooks push data automatically to the services you already use.

How Webhooks Work

When an event occurs in creavio — a new booking, a signed contract, a completed payment — creavio sends an HTTP POST request to a URL you specify. The request body contains a JSON payload with all relevant event data. Your receiving service can then process that data however you need.

Available Webhook Events

  • booking.created — A new session is booked
  • booking.updated — A booking is modified or rescheduled
  • booking.cancelled — A client cancels their session
  • contract.signed — A client signs a contract
  • invoice.paid — A payment is completed
  • gallery.delivered — A gallery is published and delivered to the client
  • client.created — A new client is added to your CRM

Setting Up a Webhook

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Webhooks
  2. Click Add Webhook
  3. Enter the destination URL where you want events sent
  4. Select which events should trigger the webhook
  5. Optionally add a signing secret for payload verification
  6. Click Save and send a test event to confirm it works

Common Use Cases

Photographers use webhooks to connect creavio with tools like Zapier, Make, or custom applications. Popular automations include adding new clients to a mailing list, creating tasks in project management tools when a booking is confirmed, sending Slack notifications for new payments, and syncing client data to an external CRM.

Security and Reliability

Every webhook payload includes a signature header that you can verify using your signing secret. This ensures the data genuinely came from creavio. Failed deliveries are retried up to five times with exponential backoff. You can view delivery logs and retry failed events from the webhook detail page.
