Bulk Upload & Organization

Bulk Upload & Organization

Wedding galleries can hit 800 images. Events can top 1,000. creavio's bulk upload system is built for volume — drag in hundreds of files and let the platform handle the rest.

Uploading in Bulk

Open a collection and click Upload or simply drag a folder from your desktop into the browser window. creavio processes uploads in parallel — up to 10 files at a time — so even large batches move quickly. You'll see a progress bar for each file and an overall completion percentage.

Supported Formats

  • JPEG — the standard for delivered photos
  • PNG — useful for graphics and transparent backgrounds
  • TIFF — high-quality originals from Lightroom or Capture One
  • HEIC — iPhone format, auto-converted to JPEG on upload

Maximum file size is 100 MB per image. Files larger than that are typically uncompressed TIFFs — export as JPEG or high-quality PNG before uploading.

Folder Upload

Drag an entire folder and creavio preserves the folder structure. Each subfolder becomes a section within the collection. This is perfect for events with multiple segments — ceremony, reception, portraits — where you want logical grouping without creating separate collections.

Organizing After Upload

Once images are uploaded, you can organize them several ways:

  1. Drag to reorder — move images within the grid to set the display sequence
  2. Auto-sort — sort by filename, date taken, or date uploaded
  3. Star and filter — star your top picks and filter the view to show only starred images
  4. Sections — create named sections to group images into chapters

Duplicate Detection

Uploading the same file twice? creavio detects duplicates by filename and warns you before creating a copy. You can choose to skip the duplicate or upload it anyway if you intentionally have multiple versions.

Resume Interrupted Uploads

If your browser closes or your connection drops mid-upload, creavio remembers what was already transferred. Re-open the collection and resume — only the remaining files will upload.
