Gallery Sharing Options
You spent hours editing. The gallery looks beautiful. Now get it in front of the right people. creavio offers multiple sharing methods depending on who needs access and how.
Direct Link
Every collection has a unique shareable URL. Find it in the collection settings under Share. The link format is: yourdomain.com/c/[token]
Send this link via email, text message, or any messaging platform. The recipient opens it in their browser. No login required (unless you enable login protection).
Email Delivery
Send the gallery link directly through creavio by clicking Share > Send Email from the collection. The email includes:
- A branded preview with the cover image
- A prominent "View Gallery" button
- Your personal message
- Your business logo and contact info
Email delivery is tracked. You can see if the client opened the email and clicked the gallery link in the client's activity log.
Password Protection
For private galleries, set a password under Share > Privacy. Visitors must enter the password before viewing. Share the password separately from the link for added security.
You can also restrict access to specific email addresses. Only people who log in with an invited email can view the gallery.
Multiple Share Links
Create multiple share links with different permissions:
- Client link: Full access (view, download, favorite, comment)
- Family link: View only, no downloads (or download web-quality only)
- Vendor link: View only, limited to specific sections
- Public link: View only, for social media sharing
Each link has independent permissions. Revoking one link does not affect the others.
Social Media Sharing
Share galleries directly to social platforms. When a gallery link is shared on social media, it displays a rich preview with the cover image and gallery title. This is handled by Open Graph meta tags that creavio sets automatically.
For Instagram, share the gallery link in your bio or Stories (Instagram does not support links in regular posts). Consider linking to the gallery from your Link in Bio page.
QR Codes
Generate a QR code for any gallery under Share > QR Code. This is especially useful for:
- Events: Display the QR code on a screen or printout so attendees can access the gallery on their phones during or after the event
- Wedding receptions: Place QR code cards on tables so guests can view and download photos
- Print products: Include a QR code on the back of prints or albums linking to the digital gallery
- Business cards: Link to your portfolio gallery
The QR code downloads as a PNG image. You can resize and print it as needed.
Embed Codes
If you want to display a gallery on an external website (a venue's site, a planner's blog, etc.), use the embed code. Under Share > Embed, copy the iframe code and paste it into the external site's HTML.
Embedded galleries are responsive and maintain all your design customizations. They display within the host page at a size you specify.
Expiration and Access Control
Set an expiration date on any share link. After the date, the link returns a "Gallery no longer available" message. This is useful for:
- Time-limited proofing windows
- Event galleries with a defined access period
- Encouraging timely downloads
You can extend or remove the expiration at any time from the collection settings.
Tracking Views
Under the collection's Analytics tab, see how many people have viewed the gallery, how many images they viewed, and whether they downloaded any files. This data helps you understand client engagement and follow up appropriately.
