Sharing & Download Permissions
Every collection in creavio has granular sharing and download controls. You decide exactly who sees your work and what they can do with it.
Sharing Options
When you're ready to share a collection, click Share to access these options:
- Private link — anyone with the link can view (default)
- PIN-protected — requires a 4-6 digit PIN to access
- Email-gated — visitors must enter their email to view
- Invited only — only specific email addresses can access
Download Permissions
Configure download settings under Collection Settings > Downloads:
- Downloads enabled/disabled — toggle downloads for the entire collection
- Resolution options — web-only, high-res, or both
- Download limit — restrict the number of times images can be downloaded
- Download all — allow or block bulk download of the entire collection as a ZIP
- Per-image control — enable downloads for specific images only
Social Sharing
Control whether visitors can share the collection on social media:
- Enable or disable social sharing buttons (Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter)
- Set a custom Open Graph image and description for social previews
- Track shares in your collection analytics
Expiration Settings
Set an expiration date to limit how long a collection is accessible:
- Open Collection Settings > Expiration
- Choose a duration: 30, 60, 90 days, or custom
- Enable expiration warning to notify the client before access ends
After expiration, the collection becomes inaccessible but is not deleted. You can reactivate it at any time.
Recommended Settings by Scenario
- Client delivery: PIN-protected, high-res downloads, 90-day expiration
- Proofing gallery: Private link, no downloads, no expiration until selections are made
- Portfolio showcase: Public link, web-res only, social sharing enabled
