Drip Sequences

Drip Sequences

Drip sequences let you send a series of pre-written emails automatically, triggered by specific client events like a new inquiry, a completed booking, or a gallery delivery. Instead of remembering to follow up manually, creavio handles the timing and delivery for you.

How Drip Sequences Work

Each drip sequence is a chain of emails sent at intervals you define. When a trigger event fires — such as a new lead filling out your contact form — the sequence begins. creavio sends each email in order, waiting the number of days or hours you've specified between steps.

Creating a Drip Sequence

  1. Navigate to Communication > Drip Sequences and click New Sequence.
  2. Name your sequence and select a trigger event from the dropdown (e.g., New Inquiry, Booking Confirmed, Gallery Delivered).
  3. Add your first email step. Write the subject line and body, or choose a saved template.
  4. Set the delay — how long after the previous step (or trigger) this email should send.
  5. Add additional steps as needed. Most photographers use 3–5 emails per sequence.

Best Practices for Photographers

  • Welcome sequence: Send immediately after inquiry, follow up at 2 days, then 5 days if no response.
  • Post-session sequence: Thank-you email same day, sneak peek at 3 days, gallery delivery at 14 days.
  • Re-engagement sequence: Reach out to past clients at 10 months for annual session reminders.

Managing Active Sequences

You can pause, edit, or cancel any active sequence from the dashboard. If a client replies to any email in the sequence, creavio automatically pauses the drip so you can respond personally. This prevents awkward overlapping messages.

Use the Sequence Analytics panel to track open rates, click rates, and reply rates for each step. Low engagement on a particular step? Rewrite the subject line or adjust the timing.
