Google Ads connects the same way Meta does - a picker that opens in place, with no Google sign-in screen and no swap into the client’s session. What the picker can show you is decided entirely by what is linked to creavio’s manager account.
What has to be true first
The client’s Google Ads account must be linked to creavio’s manager account (MCC). The link is requested from the manager account and accepted inside Google Ads by whoever administers the client’s account. It is a one-time action and it replaces per-client OAuth entirely - the client never signs in to creavio.
Steps
- Open the client, then go to Connections.
- On the Google Ads row, click Connect. The picker opens in place.
- Pick the customer account. Accounts already bound to another client are marked and cannot be selected.
- Confirm.
If the list is empty, or everything is greyed out
That means the manager account has nothing available to link to this client - either no client accounts are linked to the MCC yet, or every linked account is already connected somewhere. That is a linking task inside Google Ads, not something the picker can fix.
Status note - last measured 24 August 2026. The steps above are how the flow is built, and the picker itself has been verified against production: it opens in place, with no Google sign-in and no session swap. The selection step has not yet been exercised end to end in production, because only one account is currently linked to creavio’s manager account and it is already connected - which leaves the Connect button disabled. If you are the first to link a new account to the MCC and complete this flow, tell support how it went.
