This is the connection most agencies need first, and it does not involve the client at all. If creavio already has access to the ad account inside your Business Manager, connecting it is a selection, not an authorization - there is no Facebook login screen and no request sent to the client.
What has to be true first
creavio must already be an admin or partner on the ad account in your Meta Business Manager. That grant happens on Meta’s side, once, and it is the only prerequisite.
Steps
- Open the client, then go to Connections.
- On the Meta Ads row, click Connect. A picker opens in place - nothing navigates away, no Facebook screen appears, and your session is not swapped into the client’s.
- Pick the ad account. Each row shows the account name, its Business Manager, and its currency. Accounts already connected - to this client or to another client in your agency - are marked so you cannot bind one twice by accident.
- Confirm. The Meta Ads row flips to Connected without a page refresh.
Why there is no login step. creavio holds one agency-level Meta credential and enumerates every ad account that credential can already administer. This is the difference between the agency model and the older per-client OAuth model, where each client had to authorize creavio separately.
After connecting
The binding is immediate. Campaign reporting is populated by creavio’s ongoing Meta sync from the point of connection - campaigns that already existed on the account before you connected it are not backfilled automatically. If you need historical campaigns pulled in, contact support rather than reconnecting the account.
