Migrating from Dubsado
Dubsado is a popular CRM for photographers, and if you've been using it, you've likely built up a library of forms, contracts, and workflows. Here's how to bring everything into creavio without losing a beat.
Step 1: Export Client Data
- In Dubsado, navigate to People and click Export.
- Choose CSV format and export all clients.
- In creavio, go to Clients > Import and upload the file.
- Map Dubsado's column headers to creavio's fields. Most will auto-match.
- Confirm the import and review for any flagged duplicates.
Step 2: Rebuild Your Forms
Dubsado's forms — lead captures, questionnaires, and proposals — need to be recreated in creavio's form builder. Here's the fastest approach:
- Open each Dubsado form in a separate tab for reference.
- In creavio, create matching forms under Forms > New Form.
- Copy field labels and options directly. creavio supports all standard field types: text, dropdown, checkbox, date, file upload, and more.
Step 3: Contracts and Packages
Export your Dubsado contract text by opening each contract template and copying the content. Paste it into creavio's Contract Builder. creavio supports smart fields like {{client_name}}, {{session_date}}, and {{total_amount}} — replace any Dubsado-specific merge tags with creavio equivalents.
Recreate your packages in Settings > Packages. Enter the name, description, price, and included items for each package.
Step 4: Workflow Automation
Document your Dubsado workflows step by step — what triggers them and what actions they perform. Rebuild each workflow in creavio's Automations section. creavio's workflow engine supports conditional logic, which may let you consolidate multiple Dubsado workflows into fewer, smarter automations.
Step 5: Embed Codes and Links
Swap out all Dubsado embed codes and scheduling links on your website with creavio's versions. Check your:
- Website contact page
- Social media link-in-bio
- Google Business profile
- Email signature
Keep your Dubsado account active for 30 days after migration to catch any straggling inquiries that come through old forms.
