Migrating from Pixieset

Pixieset is primarily a gallery and storefront platform. If you've been using it alongside another CRM, creavio consolidates everything into one place. Here's how to make the switch.

Step 1: Download Your Galleries

Pixieset stores your uploaded images, but you should always have local copies. If you don't:

  1. In Pixieset, open each gallery collection.
  2. Click Download All to save the original files to your computer.
  3. Organize them by client and session for easy re-uploading.

If you already have the originals on your hard drive or cloud storage, you can skip this step and upload directly to creavio.

Step 2: Export Client Data

Pixieset's client export is limited. Navigate to Clients in your Pixieset dashboard and export what's available. For any missing data, check your email records or previous CRM for complete contact details.

Import the client list into creavio via Clients > Import.

Step 3: Recreate Your Galleries

  1. In creavio, go to Galleries > New Gallery.
  2. Name the gallery and assign it to the correct client.
  3. Upload images. creavio supports bulk upload — drag and drop entire folders.
  4. Set your gallery options: download permissions, favorites, watermarking, and expiration date.
  5. Publish the gallery and share the new link with your client.

Step 4: Storefront Products

If you use Pixieset's store, recreate your print products and pricing in creavio's Store settings. Connect your print lab under Settings > Integrations > Print Labs. creavio integrates with major labs, and pricing is fully customizable.

Step 5: Update Client Gallery Links

Clients with active Pixieset galleries will need new links. Send a quick email (use creavio's bulk email feature) with their updated gallery URL. Consider keeping your Pixieset account active for 60 days to ensure no client is left without access.
