Multi-Currency Support
If you work with clients across borders — destination weddings, international brands, or remote portrait sessions — you need to invoice in their local currency. creavio supports over 50 currencies so your clients see familiar numbers and pay without conversion confusion.
Setting Your Default Currency
Go to Money → Settings → Currency to set your default. This is the currency that appears on new invoices unless you override it. Choose the currency you use for most of your business — typically the currency of the country where you're based.
Invoicing in a Different Currency
When creating an invoice, click the currency selector next to the total and choose the client's currency. creavio converts your line item amounts using the current exchange rate. You can also manually set the amounts if you've already agreed on a price in the client's currency.
Supported Currencies
creavio supports all major currencies including:
- USD — US Dollar
- EUR — Euro
- GBP — British Pound
- CAD — Canadian Dollar
- AUD — Australian Dollar
- JPY — Japanese Yen
Plus 40+ additional currencies. The full list is available in the currency selector.
Exchange Rates
creavio uses live exchange rates at the time you create the invoice. Once the invoice is sent, the amounts are locked — they won't fluctuate with currency markets. This protects both you and your client from unexpected changes between sending and payment.
Receiving Payments
Your payment provider (Stripe) handles the currency conversion. Funds are deposited into your bank account in your local currency. Stripe's conversion fee is typically 1% on top of their standard processing fee. Check your Stripe dashboard for exact rates.
Financial Reports
creavio's financial reports normalize all amounts to your default currency for consistent reporting. Each transaction shows both the original currency amount and the converted amount so you have a clear audit trail.
Multi-currency support is available on the Pro plan and above.
