Your portfolio, your way
creavio includes a full website builder so you can showcase your work, attract new clients, and accept bookings — all from one platform. No need for a separate hosting provider or website tool. Choose a template, customize it to match your brand, and publish in minutes. This guide takes you from blank canvas to live website.
Before you begin
- Have your best portfolio images ready — 10 to 20 strong images are enough to start.
- Write a short bio or "about" blurb (2-3 paragraphs about you and your style).
- Decide on your pages: most photographers start with Home, Portfolio, About, and Contact.
Step-by-step
- Navigate to Website. Open the Website tile from your home dashboard, or click All Apps in the left sidebar and choose Website to open the site builder.
- Choose a template. Browse the available templates and pick one that fits your style. Every template is fully customizable, so choose based on layout rather than colors — you'll change those next.
- Customize your branding. Upload your logo, set your brand colors, and choose your fonts. These apply across all pages automatically for a consistent look.
- Edit your pages. Click into each page to add your content. Use the drag-and-drop editor to arrange sections, add images, and write your copy. The Home page and Portfolio page are the most important — start there.
- Add your portfolio images. Upload your best work to the portfolio section. You can also pull in images from your Collections to keep everything connected.
- Set up your contact page. Add a contact form so potential clients can reach you directly. Form submissions appear in your creavio inbox.
- Publish your site. When you're happy with the preview, click Publish. Your site goes live immediately at your creav.io URL. You can connect a custom domain later.
Pro tips
- Less is more. A clean site with 15 stunning images converts better than a cluttered one with 200.
- Write your copy in your own voice. Clients want to know the person behind the camera, not read generic marketing language.
- Test your site on mobile — the majority of your visitors will see it on a phone first.
