Multi-Page Portfolio

Multi-Page Portfolio

One portfolio page rarely tells your whole story. If you shoot weddings, portraits, and commercial work, cramming everything into a single gallery dilutes your brand. creavio lets you create multiple portfolio pages — each with its own theme, layout, and curated image selection.

Creating Portfolio Pages

Go to Website → Pages → Add Page and select the Portfolio template. Give it a name that reflects the content — "Weddings," "Portraits," "Commercial," or "Editorial." Each portfolio page gets its own URL slug, like yoursite.com/weddings.

Curating Each Portfolio

A portfolio should show only your best work in that category. For each page:

  • Select 15–30 images that represent your strongest work in that niche
  • Lead with your absolute best shot — it's the first thing visitors see
  • Maintain a consistent editing style within each portfolio
  • Remove anything that doesn't make you proud

Layout Options

Each portfolio page can use a different layout:

  1. Masonry grid — mixed-size images in a Pinterest-style layout, great for variety
  2. Uniform grid — equal-sized thumbnails for a clean, structured look
  3. Slideshow — full-width images that visitors scroll through one at a time
  4. Horizontal scroll — a filmstrip-style layout that scrolls sideways

Navigation Setup

Add your portfolio pages to the site navigation under Website → Navigation. You can create a dropdown menu called "Portfolio" with each specialty as a sub-item. Or place them directly in the main navigation if you have three or fewer portfolios.

SEO Benefits

Multiple portfolio pages improve your search rankings. A dedicated "Austin Wedding Photographer" portfolio page with relevant images and alt text ranks better for that keyword than a generic portfolio with mixed content. Each page is another opportunity to appear in search results.

Updating Over Time

Refresh your portfolios regularly. Swap in images from recent sessions and remove older work that no longer represents your style. A portfolio that hasn't been updated in a year tells visitors you're not active. Aim to refresh each portfolio at least quarterly.
