How to use the tool
- Add a photo: drop a JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC or JFIF, or choose one from your device.
- Drag the crop box and its corner until the part you want sits inside it. Pick Custom to lock a ratio you type.
- Type a width and a height in pixels and press Apply size for an exact size, and the crop box takes that shape, or leave them empty to keep the crop. Download a JPG or a PNG. Nothing is uploaded.
What the size means
Facebook's article "Add a cover photo to your Facebook event", read 24 October 2026, gives no pixel size, aspect ratio, minimum or file limit in its computer, iPhone or Android version. A search in Facebook's Help Center shows an answer from Meta's AI support assistant, not a help article, saying Facebook does not provide specific pixel dimensions for event cover photos and that hosts can reposition their photo during upload.
Many guides give 1920 x 1005. No Facebook or Meta page we read publishes it, so this page does not present it as Facebook's size and the crop tool has no preset. Crop to the part you want, and reposition the photo in Facebook as you upload it.
Questions
Is it private?
Yes. The crop runs in your browser. No file is sent to creavio or anyone else, and nothing is stored after you close the tab. The HEIC decoder downloads once, the first time you add a HEIC photo.
Can I crop to an exact size?
Yes. Type a width and a height under the crop box and press Apply size. The box takes that shape, so the photo is never stretched, and the download is drawn at exactly that size.
Which browsers does it work in?
Current versions of Chrome and Safari. It uses only features built into the browser, so there is nothing to install.
HEIC decoding uses heic-to and libheif, free software licensed under the GNU LGPL 3.0. They are included unmodified as a separate file, loaded only when you add a HEIC photo. The source code is at the links above.
