Google Calendar Sync

Google Calendar Sync

Two-way calendar sync ensures your creavio bookings appear on Google Calendar and your Google events block availability in creavio. No more double-bookings.

Setting Up the Sync

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Google Calendar
  2. Click Connect Google Account
  3. Sign in with your Google account and grant calendar permissions
  4. Select which Google calendar to sync with (you can choose a specific calendar, not just your primary one)
  5. Choose your sync direction: one-way or two-way
  6. Click Save & Sync

Sync Directions Explained

Two-way sync (recommended): creavio bookings appear on Google Calendar, and Google Calendar events block availability in creavio. This is what most photographers want.

creavio to Google only: Your creavio bookings push to Google Calendar, but Google events don't affect your creavio availability. Use this if you have a busy personal calendar that shouldn't affect booking availability.

Google to creavio only: Google events block creavio availability, but creavio bookings don't appear on Google Calendar. Rarely used but available.

What Syncs

From creavio to Google:

  • Session date, time, and duration
  • Client name and session type
  • Location (if specified)
  • A link back to the booking in creavio

From Google to creavio:

  • Event time blocks (prevents booking conflicts)
  • All-day events are treated as full-day blocks

Sync Frequency

Changes sync within 5 minutes in both directions. When a client books through your creavio booking page, the Google Calendar event is created instantly.

Multiple Calendars

You can sync with multiple Google calendars simultaneously. For example, sync your "Photography" calendar for bookings and your "Personal" calendar for availability blocking. Go to the integration settings to add additional calendars.

Troubleshooting

If events aren't appearing, check that your Google account connection is still active under Settings. Google occasionally revokes permissions after password changes. Simply reconnect to restore the sync.
