Analytics Dashboard Guide
You cannot improve what you do not measure. The analytics dashboard shows who is visiting your site, where they come from, and what they do after landing. No Google Analytics setup required — creavio tracks this natively.
Accessing Analytics
Go to Marketing > Analytics. The dashboard shows data for the last 30 days by default. Use the date picker to change the range.
Key Metrics
Visitors
Total unique visitors to your website. A visitor is counted once per day regardless of how many pages they view. This gives you a clean picture of how many people are seeing your site.
Page Views
Total pages viewed across all visitors. If one person looks at your Home, Portfolio, and Contact page, that is 3 page views from 1 visitor.
Top Pages
Which pages get the most traffic. Expect your Home and Portfolio pages to lead. If your Contact page ranks high, your traffic is converting to interest — that is good. If your About page is number one, people are trying to learn about you before deciding — make sure it is strong.
Referral Sources
Where your visitors come from:
- Direct — typed your URL or used a bookmark
- Google / Bing — found you through search
- Instagram — clicked your link in bio or story link
- Facebook — from your page, group, or ad
- The Knot / WeddingWire — if listed on wedding directories
- Other — any site linking to you
This tells you where to double down. If Instagram sends 60% of your traffic, invest more time there. If Google sends 5%, work on your SEO.
Device Breakdown
What percentage of visitors are on desktop, phone, or tablet. For most photography websites, mobile traffic is 60-75%. Make sure your site looks great on phones.
Conversion Tracking
creavio tracks key conversion events:
- Form submissions — how many visitors filled out a contact or inquiry form
- Booking completions — how many visitors completed a booking
- Gallery views — how many times shared galleries were opened
The conversion rate shows what percentage of visitors take action. A 2-5% form submission rate is healthy for photography websites.
Trends Over Time
The main chart shows visitor and page view trends over your selected date range. Look for patterns:
- Spikes after social media posts — confirms your content is driving traffic
- Weekly patterns — many photography sites see higher traffic on weekends when people research photographers
- Seasonal trends — wedding photographer traffic peaks in January (engagement season) and September (fall wedding planning)
Privacy-First Tracking
creavio analytics does not use cookies or track users across sites. It is privacy-compliant by design — no cookie banners needed. Visitor data is aggregated and never sold.
Using Analytics to Grow
- Low traffic? Focus on SEO and consistent social posting
- High traffic but low conversions? Your site is attracting visitors but not convincing them to act. Improve your Contact page, add clearer calls-to-action, and show pricing.
- Traffic from unexpected sources? Investigate and invest in what is working organically
