Instagram Grid

Instagram Grid

Your Instagram grid is your visual portfolio. creavio's grid planner lets you arrange posts before publishing so your feed always looks cohesive and intentional.

Accessing the Grid Planner

Go to Marketing > Social > Instagram Grid. Your current published grid loads on the right. The left panel is your staging area for upcoming posts.

Planning Your Grid

  1. Drag images from your library into the staging area
  2. Arrange them in the order you want them posted
  3. Preview how the grid will look as each image is added
  4. Rearrange until the overall aesthetic feels right
  5. Add captions and hashtags to each planned post

Grid Patterns

Many photographers follow visual patterns for a cohesive feed:

  • Row by row — three related images per row (same session or color palette)
  • Checkerboard — alternating between two styles (light/dark, close-up/wide)
  • Color columns — consistent color palette in each column
  • Puzzle grid — one large image split across multiple posts

creavio's preview shows grid lines so you can see which pattern is forming.

Color Consistency

The grid planner analyzes the dominant colors in each image and shows you a palette preview. This helps you spot clashing tones before they go live.

Scheduling from the Grid

Once you're happy with the arrangement, click Schedule on each post to set a publish date and time. Posts are sent to your connected Instagram account via the social publishing integration.

Tips for a Strong Grid

  • Plan at least 9 posts ahead (3 rows) to maintain consistency
  • Mix content types: portfolio images, behind-the-scenes, client testimonials, personal moments
  • Don't post three similar images in a row — variety keeps followers engaged
  • Review your grid weekly and adjust the plan based on what's performing

A planned grid separates professional accounts from casual ones. Spend 15 minutes a week planning and your feed will always look intentional.
