Social Post Templates

Social Post Templates

Consistent social media posting is one of the most effective ways to attract new photography clients. But staring at a blank caption box is a creativity killer. creavio's social post templates give you a starting point so you can post more and stress less.

What Are Post Templates?

Post templates are pre-written caption frameworks designed for photographers. Each template includes the caption structure, suggested hashtags, and a prompt for which type of image to pair with it. You customize the details and make it your own.

Template Categories

creavio includes templates organized by purpose:

  • Behind the Scenes: Share your process, gear, editing workflow, or session stories
  • Client Features: Showcase sessions with permission. Celebrate your clients.
  • Educational: Share tips about what to wear, how to prepare for a session, or what to expect
  • Personal: Let followers see the person behind the camera
  • Promotional: Announce availability, mini sessions, specials, or new offerings
  • Testimonials: Share client reviews and feedback with accompanying images

Using a Template

  1. Go to Marketing > Social > Templates
  2. Browse or filter by category
  3. Click a template to preview it
  4. Click Use Template to load it into the post composer
  5. Customize the placeholder text with your specific details
  6. Add your image and schedule or post immediately

Creating Custom Templates

Your best-performing posts should become templates. When a caption gets great engagement:

  1. Open the post in your analytics
  2. Click Save as Template
  3. Give it a name and category
  4. It's now available for reuse and adaptation

Template Best Practices

  • Personalize every post. Templates are starting points, not copy-paste solutions. Your audience can tell when captions are generic.
  • Rotate categories. Don't post five promotional posts in a row. Mix education, personal, and client features.
  • Update hashtags quarterly. Hashtag effectiveness changes over time. Review and refresh your sets regularly.

Templates save the average photographer 3-5 hours per week on social media. That's time you can spend shooting or with your family.
