Forms and Contact Pages

Forms and Contact Pages

An email link on your website is not a form. It opens their email client, they write whatever they want, and you get an unstructured mess. Forms ask the right questions upfront so you have what you need to respond fast.

Creating a Form

  1. Go to Website > Forms
  2. Click + New Form
  3. Name it (e.g., "Wedding Inquiry", "Contact Me", "Portrait Intake")
  4. Add fields by clicking + Add Field

Available Field Types

  • Text — single line (name, subject)
  • Email — validates email format
  • Phone — phone number with format handling
  • Textarea — multi-line text (messages, details)
  • Select/Dropdown — pick from a list (session type, how did you hear about us)
  • Radio buttons — choose one option from a set
  • Checkboxes — choose multiple options
  • Date picker — for event dates or preferred session dates
  • File upload — for inspiration images or documents
  • Hidden — for tracking (source, campaign, page URL)

Each field can be marked as required or optional. Drag fields to reorder them.

Wedding Inquiry Form Example

A solid wedding inquiry form includes:

  1. Name (required)
  2. Email (required)
  3. Phone
  4. Wedding date (date picker, required)
  5. Venue name
  6. Guest count (dropdown: under 50, 50-100, 100-200, 200+)
  7. How did you find me? (dropdown: Instagram, Google, The Knot, Referral, Other)
  8. Anything else I should know? (textarea)

This takes 2 minutes for the client to fill out and gives you everything you need to respond with a relevant quote.

Embedding Forms on Pages

Two ways to add a form to your website:

Option 1: Contact Form section

  1. In the website builder, edit a page
  2. Add a Contact Form section
  3. Select which form to embed

Option 2: Standalone form page

Each form has its own URL (e.g., yourdomain.com/forms/wedding-inquiry) that you can link to directly from Instagram, email signatures, or other sites.

What Happens When Someone Submits

  1. The submitter sees a thank you message (customizable in form settings)
  2. You receive a notification (email, push, or in-app)
  3. A new client record is created in your CRM if the email is new
  4. The submission appears in the client's activity timeline
  5. If you have an automation set up, it can trigger an auto-response email

Form Settings

  • Thank you message — what the submitter sees after completing the form
  • Redirect URL — optionally send them to a specific page after submission
  • Notification email — who gets notified (defaults to account owner)
  • Auto-response — send an immediate confirmation email to the submitter
  • Pipeline stage — automatically place new form leads in a specific pipeline stage

Viewing Submissions

Go to Website > Forms, click a form, and see all submissions in a table view. Filter by date, export to CSV, or click any submission to view the full response and jump to the client profile.
