How to add a watermark
- Add up to 20 JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or HEIC photos: drop them on the box above, or choose them from your device.
- Type your text or choose a logo image, then set the size, opacity, angle and position, or choose Tiled. The preview shows the first photo.
- Choose Add watermark. Your browser marks every photo. Nothing is uploaded. Download each one, or all of them in a zip.
How the mark is placed
Size is the width of the mark as a share of the photo's width, from 5% to 60%, so the mark looks the same on a large photo and a small one. Opacity runs from 10% to 100%. The angle turns the mark up to 90 degrees either way. A corner mark sits 3% of the photo's shorter side in from the edges, and a mark too large for the photo is made smaller to fit. Tiled repeats the mark across the whole photo in rows, with every other row shifted by half a step.
Text or logo
Text is drawn in white or black, up to 60 characters. A logo can be any image the page can open. A PNG with a transparent background works best, because its transparent pixels stay clear.
A PNG photo is saved as a PNG. Every other photo is saved as a JPG at quality 92 out of 100. Both keep the photo's width and height.
Questions
Is it private?
Yes. The watermark maker is a page, not an upload: your browser opens each photo, draws the mark and saves the result to your device. No file is sent to creavio or to anyone else, and nothing is stored after you close the tab. The HEIC decoder downloads once, the first time you add a HEIC photo.
How many photos can I mark at once?
Up to 20, each up to 50 MB. A larger file shows a message and is not added. Download them one by one, or all together as a single zip.
Can the watermark be taken off?
Not from the file you download: the mark is drawn into its pixels. Your original photo is not changed, so keep it.
Which browsers does it work in?
Current versions of Chrome and Safari. It uses features built into the browser, so there is nothing to install.
HEIC decoding uses heic-to and libheif, free software licensed under the GNU LGPL 3.0. They are included unmodified as a separate file, loaded only when you add a HEIC photo. The source code is at the links above.
Zip files are built with fflate (MIT license). Licence texts.
