Mobile Experience Guide
You are not always at your desk. You are at the venue, in the car between sessions, or editing from the couch. creavio works on your phone and tablet without downloading anything from an app store.
How creavio Works on Mobile
creavio is a Progressive Web App (PWA). That means it runs in your browser but can be installed to your home screen like a native app. You get:
- Full-screen mode with no browser chrome
- An app icon on your home screen
- Push notifications (if enabled)
- Offline access for previously loaded pages
Installing on iPhone (iOS)
- Open Safari and go to creav.io
- Log in to your account
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow)
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen
- Name it "creavio" and tap Add
The creavio icon now appears on your home screen. Tap it to launch in full-screen mode. It must be Safari — this does not work from Chrome or Firefox on iOS.
Installing on Android
- Open Chrome and go to creav.io
- Log in to your account
- You should see an Install banner at the bottom of the screen
- Tap Install
- If no banner appears, tap the three-dot menu > Add to Home screen
What Works on Mobile
Every feature in creavio is responsive. The layout adapts to your screen size. On phones, you will notice:
- Navigation moves to a bottom tab bar instead of a sidebar
- Tables become scrollable cards
- Modals become full-screen sheets
- The media library shows a 2-column grid with tap-to-select
Features that work especially well on mobile:
- Quick client lookup — search for any client, see their info, call or text them directly
- Invoice status checks — see who has paid, send reminders with one tap
- Calendar view — check your schedule, confirm bookings on the go
- Notifications — get notified when clients book, pay, or submit forms
- Gallery sharing — copy a collection link and text it to your client from the parking lot
Uploading Photos from Your Phone
In the Media Library, tap Upload. Your phone will let you choose from your camera roll or take a new photo. This is useful for behind-the-scenes content or quick social media posts through the Social Media Manager.
For large batches of edited photos, upload from your computer. Mobile uploads work great for 1-20 images at a time.
Offline Access
creavio caches your most recent data when you have an internet connection. If you lose service temporarily:
- Your dashboard, client list, and calendar are still viewable
- Actions that require saving (sending invoices, uploading files) will queue and sync when you are back online
This is not a full offline mode. You need internet for most operations. But it means spotty reception at an outdoor venue will not leave you completely stranded.
Notifications on Mobile
After installing the PWA, creavio will ask permission to send push notifications. Enable these to get alerted when:
- A client books a session
- An invoice is paid
- A form is submitted
- A contract is signed
- Someone comments on a gallery
Manage notification preferences in Settings > Notifications.
Tips for the Best Mobile Experience
- Use the installed PWA, not the browser — it is faster and stays logged in
- Keep your phone's browser updated for the best performance
- On iPad, creavio runs in the desktop layout by default — you get the full sidebar experience
