What's happening
Your creavio bookings aren't showing up in your external calendar app, or changes to your availability aren't syncing between creavio and your connected calendar. Events may appear duplicated, missing, or out of date.
Common causes
- The calendar integration isn't connected or has been disconnected
- Calendar sync permissions were revoked or expired
- Your external calendar app is set to sync infrequently
- Timezone settings don't match between creavio and your calendar
- iCal feed URL was copied incorrectly
How to fix it
1. Check your calendar connection
Go to Bookings & Calendar > Calendar Sync in your creavio dashboard. Verify that your external calendar shows as Connected. If it shows disconnected or if you see a Reconnect button, click it to re-establish the connection. You may need to re-authorize creavio's access to your calendar.
2. Re-authorize calendar permissions
For Google Calendar: Go to your Google Account security settings (myaccount.google.com) and check Third-party apps with account access. Make sure creavio still has permission. If it was removed, reconnect from your creavio dashboard.
For Apple Calendar: Check your iCal subscription in Calendar app preferences. If the subscription URL is broken, remove it and re-add the iCal feed URL from creavio.
3. Adjust sync frequency
External calendar apps don't always sync in real-time. To speed up sync:
- Google Calendar: Syncs automatically but can take up to 12-24 hours for subscribed calendars. For faster updates, use the direct Google Calendar integration instead of an iCal feed.
- Apple Calendar: Open Calendar, go to the subscribed calendar's settings, and change Auto-refresh to Every 5 minutes or Every 15 minutes.
- Outlook: Subscribed calendars may only update every 24 hours. Consider using a direct integration if available.
4. Verify timezone settings
Go to Account & Settings and confirm your timezone in creavio matches the timezone set in your external calendar app. Mismatched timezones will cause bookings to appear at the wrong time, even though the sync itself is working correctly.
5. Re-add the iCal feed
If you're using an iCal subscription feed, remove the existing subscription from your calendar app and re-add it. Go to Bookings & Calendar > Calendar Sync in creavio, copy the iCal feed URL, and add it as a new calendar subscription. Make sure you copy the complete URL — a partial URL will not work.
Still not working?
If calendar sync issues persist, contact creavio support with which calendar app you're using and what specifically isn't syncing. We can check the sync logs and help troubleshoot the connection.
