Let clients book you directly
The creavio booking system eliminates back-and-forth scheduling. You define your services and availability, and clients can book and pay in a seamless flow. Whether you're a portrait photographer with set session types or a creative offering custom packages, the booking system adapts to how you work. This guide gets you from zero to bookable.
Before you begin
- Decide on the services you want to offer (e.g., Mini Session, Full Portrait Session, Wedding Consultation).
- Know your general availability — days of the week, time windows, and any blackout dates.
- Connect Stripe if you want to collect payment at the time of booking (see Getting started with Invoicing).
Step-by-step
- Open Schedule. Click the Schedule tile on your home dashboard, or open All Apps in the left sidebar and choose Schedule — bookings are managed here.
- Create a service. Click Add Service and fill in the details: name, description, duration, and price. Be descriptive — clients see this information when choosing what to book.
- Set your availability. Define the days and time slots when you're available for each service. You can set different availability for different services (e.g., weddings on weekends only, portraits on weekdays).
- Configure booking settings. Set how far in advance clients can book, minimum notice period, and any buffer time between sessions. These guardrails prevent double-bookings and last-minute surprises.
- Share your booking link. Each service gets a unique booking link you can share on your website, social media, or directly with clients. Clients pick a date, fill in their details, and confirm — all in one flow.
- Review incoming bookings. New bookings appear on your calendar and in the bookings dashboard. You'll also receive a notification so nothing slips through.
- Manage reschedules and cancellations. If a client needs to change their booking, you can reschedule or cancel directly from the booking detail view.
Pro tips
- Add a buffer of 30-60 minutes between sessions to account for travel, setup, and breaks.
- Use the booking link in your email signature and social media bio — it turns every touchpoint into a potential booking.
- Block off personal time on your calendar first so those slots never show as available.
What's next
Once bookings are rolling in, automate the follow-up. Check out Getting started with Workflows to set up automatic confirmation emails and reminders, and Getting started with Contracts to require a signed contract before the session.
