Wedding Album Delivery
Delivering a wedding gallery is not just uploading files. It is a curated experience that reflects the quality of your work. creavio gives you full control over how clients receive, proof, and download their wedding images.
Delivering the Final Gallery
After editing, create a new Collection from the booking page. Choose Gallery mode for the final delivery. Upload your edited images and configure:
- Cover image: Pick your best hero shot. This is the first thing the couple sees.
- Layout: Masonry, grid, or slideshow. Masonry works best for weddings because it handles both horizontal and vertical images gracefully.
- Download options: Full resolution, web-optimized, or both. Most wedding photographers deliver both so clients can post to social media without uploading 30MB files.
- Privacy: Set a password or keep it private to invited emails only.
Gallery Organization
For large wedding galleries (300-800+ images), organize into sections:
- Getting Ready
- First Look
- Ceremony
- Family Formals
- Wedding Party
- Cocktail Hour
- Reception
- Dancing and Candids
Sections make the gallery navigable. Clients can jump to the parts they care about most. See large gallery management for more organization tips.
Album Proofing Setup
If the package includes an album, create a second Collection in Proofing mode. This is separate from the full gallery.
- Upload the full gallery (or a curated subset) to the proofing collection
- Set a selection limit matching your album spread count. For a 30-page album, set the limit to 60-80 images.
- Enable the progress ring so the couple sees how many selections they have used
- Add instructions: "Select your favorite images for your album. You have 75 selections. Choose images that tell the story of your day."
The couple clicks through the gallery and selects their favorites. They can change their mind until they click Submit Selections. You receive a notification with their choices.
Download Settings
Under Collection settings, configure download behavior:
- Individual downloads: Allow clients to download one image at a time (good for sharing on social)
- Bulk download: Allow downloading all images as a ZIP file
- Download limit: Restrict total downloads if your package has a cap
- Expiration: Set a date when downloads become unavailable (optional, for limited-time access)
For most wedding packages, allow unlimited individual and bulk downloads with no expiration. Clients expect permanent access to their wedding photos.
Sharing the Gallery
Send the gallery link through creavio for tracked delivery. The email includes a branded preview with the cover image and a prominent "View Gallery" button.
For extended family sharing, generate additional share links with view-only permissions. Family members can browse and favorite images but not download full resolution unless you allow it.
Print Store Integration
If you offer prints, enable the print store on the gallery. Clients and family can order prints directly from the gallery. You set the pricing and fulfill through your lab of choice.
The Delivery Email
Write a personal delivery message. Reference specific moments from their day. This is not a transactional notification. It is the final impression of your service. Make it count.
Set up an automation to send a follow-up three days after delivery asking if they have any questions and reminding them about album proofing deadlines.
